Dear Parishioners, ‘Blessed be God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all the spiritual blessings of heaven in Christ’. One of the greatest concerns I have about modern society is the lack of gratitude that seems to exist in the world today. I know in my own life there are times when I feel ungrateful for everything that I have. Sometimes despite having a numerous good things we can often crave more than what we actually need. When we feel like this there is an age-old phrase that we often here and should take to hear; “count your blessings”. Maybe in the week ahead we can learn to count our blessings and remember the words of St Paul, that the greatest blessing in our lives is knowing, serving and loving Jesus Christ.
